Max Braunstein
Competitive Pickleball Player & NCCP Certified Coach
Max Braunstein is a rising force in Canada’s pickleball scene — a competitive athlete and certified NCCP Level 1 Instructor based in Toronto, known for his sharp game sense, high-energy coaching, and deep love for the sport. Introduced to pickleball by his grandfather, Max was instantly hooked. The fast-paced, strategic, almost chess-like gameplay — paired with the sport’s inclusive, community-first vibe — drew him in, and he hasn’t looked back since.
A former high-level competitor in hockey, tennis, and soccer, Max brings a powerful blend of multisport experience, athleticism, and court awareness to his game and coaching. Now studying engineering at Queen’s University, he juggles academics with a packed tournament schedule, competing in 2–3 events a month across Ontario and the U.S.
Max has quickly made a name for himself as both a competitor and coach. In Toronto, he’s run sold-out clinics for players of all levels — from first-timers learning the ropes to experienced players chasing their next breakthrough. His coaching style is upbeat, hands-on, and rooted in game-based learning. Expect fewer lectures, more real rallies, and plenty of smart, skill-building drills that translate directly into match play.
Whether you’re just getting started or chasing that podium finish, Max offers private lessons, semi-privates, and fun, fast-paced group programs available to book through Court Reserve.

Steve has been playing racquet sports all his life. He started playing pickleball a couple of years ago after being gifted a paddle and immediately loved it. He is a NCCP certified Level 1 pickleball coach. He enjoys both the physical and social aspects of the sport and is excited to share his passion for the game with new and experienced players.
Steve's competitive tennis experience includes: junior tournaments, adult leagues, and university varsity. He is still an avid competitive player. He has coached tennis to people of all ages and various skill levels. He has found that tennis skills transfer extremely well to pickleball.

He will introduce the sport to new players in a fun and logical way, building a strong foundation through proper technique, footwork, and awareness of the court. New players will be able to jump in and start playing games quickly, and will get to see firsthand why this exciting sport is exploding in popularity.
